Back in practice

It's been many months since I wrote an update. We've finally moved back home at the beginning of the year, and after not being able to practice for a whole 7 months, I finally settled down and picked up the instruments again middle of March, first with the guitar, and then the bass.

I've had time to think about what exactly I want to do with this hobby, and especially coming out from a rather intense exposure to various teachers last year, decide who to stay with for the long haul. I can probably fill pages if you ask me about that but just to keep it short on this topic - you can probably find a musician out there who claims that they teach. Whether they actually have a systematic approach and the necessary ability to teach a beginner is a another story altogether.

That aside, I'm finally back in a good routine of practice, 35-45 minutes on the double bass, and 90 minutes to 3 hours (weekends) on the guitar, along with regular dosing of ear training and reading up on theory. I won't be posting much on my actual practice anymore like the earlier entries, I want to focus more on writing down things as a means to deconstruct and clarify concepts that are difficult for me at this point in time.
